Family Trees
Theta Sigma Tau has a long-held tradition of assigning each pledge to an active member: the pledge's big brother or sister ("bigs"). The Big answers the pledge's questions, keeps them apprised of what their responsibilities are as a pledge, teaches them the rules and regs of membership, the history of the house, etc. The Big also acts as a liaison and advocate for the pledge during closed house meetings, and acts as advocate and counsel when disputes arise between the pledge and other pledges or actives. Bigs and their little brothers or sisters spend a lot of time together and so may become pretty close, this relationship often continuing after the Little has been activated.
These family trees trace these chains of big - little relationships as far back as is currently possible. There is reasonably complete
information ranging from the the late 2010s to the mid-'80s and spotty information that goes back to the early 80s and even into the 70s.
